Japanese Japanese Shiro Kasamatsu (1898-1991) upright oban color woodblock print titled "Fuji from Hakone", pencil signed and titled, dated Showa 10th year, 5th month (May 1935) 9 1/2" x 14 /2" h. He designed prints for Watanabe in 1919, published with him in the 1930's and with Unsodo in the 1950's. He did Japanese style painting with Kiyokata. Exhibited paintings in Bunten, etc. Shiro Kasamatsu carved and printed many of his own blocks but did not promote his prints through affiliations and exhibitions. See Merritt p. 54.
