Japanese Hashimoto Okiie ( 1899-) Stone and Sand Garden B color lighograph print, pencil signed Okiie Hashimoto, dated 1960, numbered 12/60; titled in Japanese, 36 1/4 x 27 1/2". The artist studied at the Tokyo School of Fine Arts, graduating in 1924. He was a friend of Hitatsuka Un'ichi and a member of his circle Yoyogi-ha. He exhibted at Shin Bunten and was a member of Nihon Hanga Kyokai. He was known for large, strong colorful prints of gardens. See: Merritt p. 30.
