Chinese tapered cylindrical white scraffiato ground porcelain snuff bottle depicting "The Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea" in a leaf raft in polychrome enamel, frontal five-clawed dragon in black enamel on the base, Qing, 3 3/8" h. The Eight Immortals, or Ba Xian, were eight legendary Daoist Immortals. The Eight Immortals Crossing the Sea motif was a very popular theme on ceramics during Kangxi's reign.
